5/11/2015

Ah. Vacancy Committee meets today. 596 precincts in Harris County vacant. Yaay. HCRP is recommending 10 applicants a month. On average HCRP would need 60 months or 5 years to undo the damage the last County Chairman did. He wants to run for State Chairman in 2016 on a campaign of sticking to the current GOP platform. Excuse me? I don't see your ass down in Montrose or on the Spanish speaking side of town. Let's see you advocate the platform to members of Mara Salvatrucha 13,  MS13. Lets see you convince participants in the Gay Pride Parade to vote Republican using the party platform. First you prove it can work, then you can be State Chairman.

In other news... the Texas Legislative session is almost done and legislation on open carry permit or a decriminalization of Cannabis has yet to be passed. I am itching to pull the trigger on Project Brimstone and destroy the Strauss political machine once and for all. You Strauss, I know something you don't know; I betcha, betcha, betcha.

I have requested an event tent from the Rand Paul Campaign to work local city events. I almost hope that my request is not granted, so I can opt out of the Rand Paul Campaign and focus all my attention on Project Brimstone. That would be nice.

Bill: HB 1424 was passed to engrossment today.

Relating to the designation of certain synthetic compounds to Penalty Group 2 or 2-A of the Texas Controlled Substances Act; increasing penalties for certain persons convicted of the manufacture and delivery of controlled substances.

Should synthetic weed be illegal? I say no. I don't use drugs but paying the public security firms to punish drug users is bad policy, even if the drug is straight poison.

This legislation, and legislation like it, is nothing more than a subsidy for police labor unions and the prison industrial complex.
